Plainfield Historical Society
The Plainfield Historical Society was founded in 1970 to bring people together interested in history, especially the history of Plainfield, research and collect materials which may help establish or illustrate the history of the town, and disseminates historical information to arouse interest in the past.
As a Municipal Historian, the Society works with officials to ensure the preservation and accessibility of the records and archives of the town, and support the preservation of historic buildings, monuments and markers.
As always, the History Room is open by appointment. Please contact Ruth at 860-564-8561.
